Over the course of in-depth studies, I dedicated my time to becoming a better product designer. I apprehended the fundamental design process in user experience and learned to develop a product from preliminary research to placement in the market. With two years practices, I also mastered several front-end developer languages for visualizing products. Several advanced visual design courses has greatly contributed to the development my skills in branding and interface design. The hybrid discipline of science and art has enabled me to apply a series of tenable research methodology and produce a sensible experience.

Academy of art university – B.F.A.. in Interior and Architecture Design

The experience of being a student in interior and architecture design enabled me to grow into a real artist. During the process of pursuing a degree in fine arts, I studied art expressions from early history to present and explored alternatives to apply them. I came to understand that the finest art and design come from life. There is no difference between developing an interior and architecture project and crafting an art piece.

H.W.C.D – Interior Designer

As part of the research and development team for high-end interior customization, my job is focusing on researching history and creating a new concept story and style that based on the company style guide for the latest exclusive project.

– Define project aesthetic and tailored a specific concept and style for a project that aims at appropriate market
– Insure project design style intent follows H.W.C.D standards
– Generate FF&E concept and furniture design concept
– Selecting and Sourcing interior furnishing and architectural finishes
– Oversee the 3D rendering of approved design
– Producing working drawing packages, mood & finishing sample boards
– Producing the final presentation document

Applegate Tran Interiors Inc. – Junior Interior Designer

My responsibility was focused on supporting the project team and fueling the work process with creative insights. I also worked to ensure the consistency of teamwork and improve the quality of design service.

– Consulted with client to determine functionn and spatial requirements and prepare information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time
– Generated a range of design concepts that meet client and project objectives
– Delivered project under strict deadlines and within client’s budget
– Coordinated and monitored the work of both contractors and suppliers
– Delivered 2D drawing and 3D visualization from field measurement
– Developed and implemented a new method to categorize files
– Assisted the project team in producing presentation materials

Based in Shanghai. JKarQ is a global company that has client from all over the world. I assist the team to craft several interior design projects in the San Francisco Bay area by drafting blueprints and preparing construction documents.
